I have been with Great Foundations since March 2016. I am a graduate of Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas (Go Horned Frogs!) with a degree in Psychology and Child Development. I absolutely love working with children because it's rewarding to know that you are helping lay the foundation for their future. To see the children in our program learn and grow each day is so fulfilling in the eyes of a teacher.
I founded Great Foundations in 2011, when several of the children enrolled in my center where exhibiting challenging behavior. I've been working with children since 2002. I have 2 wonderful children of my own.
I started working with children in 2008 at Apple Tree Learning Center with Heather Wilson. I transitioned with her in 2011 when she founded Great Foundations and obtained my Director’s license in 2011. I have over 450 training hours in early child development and education.
Luna was found by Ms. Heather's daughter and quickly adopted by her family. She loves visiting with the kids and teaching them about boundaries.
I have my Associates degree in Teaching Special Education and a Bachelor of Science in Social Sciences. I've volunteered in an outreach team in South Africa, Bulgaria, Hungary, Chicago and California. I am currently enrolled in college to further my education and volunteer at Great Foundations when my schedule allows.
